Askar FMA230 – One optic, four different uses!
The Askar FMA230 is a triplet APO refractor with double ED glass for excellent correction.
The high-quality optics produce a pure-color, high-contrast image and meet the highest demands in astrophotography and observing.
With the special F4.6 full-frame corrector, the ASKAR FMA230 with 50mm aperture and 275mm focal length (f/4.6) becomes a professional APO telephoto lens with 230mm focal length for both landscape and astrophotography.
Internal blackening and elaborate multi-coating ensure high-contrast, brilliant images without reflections even in difficult lighting conditions.
The use of 2″ nebula filters is also possible thanks to the filter thread in front of the lens.

FMA 230 as a telephoto lens
The manual APO telephoto lens is corrected up to FullFrame. Starting from the T2 thread, it has a working distance of 55 mm. Ideal for system cameras, DSLRs, Mirrorless cameras and, of course, astro cameras. The telephoto lens is so compact that it can also be used handheld. The high speed of F/4.6 allows short exposure times even in difficult lighting conditions.
FMA 230 as an astrograph
Astrophotographers will be thrilled with the compact telephoto lens. Stars right to the edge of the image are displayed sharply. With a working distance of 55 mm, all common cameras (DSLR, CMOS, CCD or Mirrorless) can be connected.
The distance can be extended to 99mm.
The multifunctional mount allows for easy adaptation to the telescope finder scope mount or to a tripod mount connectable via the 1/4″ female thread.
FMA 230 as APO refractor and mini guide scope
The objective provides enough working distance for 1.25″ diagonal and standard 1.25″ eyepieces. You can make wonderful wide-field observations or simply attach a guide camera and have perfectly pinpoint stars during your tracking.
FMA 230 as a riflescope
The high-contrast optics enable exciting observations of animals and landscapes. In just a few simple steps, you can transform the telephoto lens into a compact, razor-sharp spotting scope. You can use all common photo tripods, the adapter is already included.
