Support base for Omegon Vixen type finderscopes: the base for your finderscope
With the Omegon finder scope support base you can now attach any type of finder scope to your telescope. The coupling profile is the standard used by many manufacturers. Also suitable for small telescopes: simply replace the existing base with this one and you will be able to use even large finderscopes, identifying celestial objects even faster.
Which finder is compatible with this base?
The manufacturers Skywatcher, Vixen and Celestron produce Vixen/Synta type finders, recognizable by their typical dovetail shape.
Suitable for telescopes with a diameter starting from 90 mm
The base is equipped with an M4 fixing screw, for firm anchoring, and two holes spaced 20 mm apart. Plus, two fixing screws are included, saving you extra trips to the hardware store.
Check on your telescope whether the dimensions are correct: There is a groove on the bottom with L x W x D = 38 x 20 x 4 mm. The included M4 countersunk screw protrudes 7mm from the bottom. The hole for the screw is exactly in the middle of the viewfinder shoe. Its dimensions (LxWxH): 38 x 40 x 20 mm.

The finder shoe is made of CNC machined aluminium and is therefore of excellent workmanship. A side clamping screw is provided to secure the finder in place, which can be used from either side.
