Pegasus Astro’s FlatMaster 250 Dimmable WiFi Flat Field Illumination Panel make capturing superb flat calibration data easy, with even illumination across the 250 mm panel. This means your flat frames will capture the details you need to enhance your images and not hot spots that can actually add aberrations into the final picture, ensuring you’re not taking a step back while pushing your image quality forward.
This illumination is adjustable to allow you to tailor the FlatMaster to your setup, and can reach levels suitable for short exposures even imaging trains using restrictive filters—with an f/7 system using 3 nm filters only needing 2-3 seconds to capture a suitable calibration frame. With WiFi, USB, and a manual brightness button, the Pegasus Astro FlatMaster can easily fit in your preferred workflow, making wrapping up your imaging session a cinch!
Superb Calibration
The Pegasus Astro FlatMaster 250 Dimmable WiFi Flat Field Illumination Panel gives you 250 mm of even and adjustable illumination for calibration that will correct imaging train aberrations without adding issues back in. This panel covers telescopes up to 10″ in aperture, and does not require any intermediate layers like cloth or paper—simply point your telescope upwards and rest the FlatMaster directly on top! The illumination this panel provides is adjustable, ensuring that you can collect flat frames without overexposing or underexposing setups, even up to those using aggressive 3 nm narrowband imaging filters.
Versatile Control
Dialing in the FlatMaster is easy, with three separate adjustment methods supported! If a hands-on approach is your style, simply use the physical button next to the FlatMaster’s USB B data/power port to gradually increase the brightness. For more granular control, connect this panel to USB and set FlatMaster’s illumination from the Pegasus Unity software* or your favorite ASCOM 7/ INDI compatible imaging suite. Or hone in your brightness completely untethered, with 2.4 Ghz WiFi connectivity; simply connect your computer or mobile device to FlatMaster’s hotspot, navigate to “flatmaster.local” in your browser, and use the brightness slider to set your perfect illumination level! The Pegasus Astro FlatMaster 250 Dimmable WiFi Flat Field Illumination Panel can also communicate with most imaging suites that support the wireless ASCOM Alpaca protocol, and can be used wired/wirelessly simultaneously, ensuring your ideal imaging process is supported!

The new Flatmaster is Wi-Fi enabled, allowing you to control and monitor the focus remotely from your cell phone.

FlatMaster Wi-Fi control panel
When you connect to the FlatMaster Wi-Fi access point, the panel’s control interface is automatically activated and ready for immediate use. In addition, you can conveniently access it from any web browser by simply entering “flatmaster.local” in the address bar.
This function is independent of the operating system and works perfectly together with the USB control, offering flexibility and convenience in a wide range of configurations.
