Esprit ED Refractor – Skywatcher’s Apochromatic Triplet
The new Esprit apochromatic triplets are the latest workhorses in the Skywatcher stable. With 120mm and 150mm diameters, Skywatcher offers sophisticated, high-end telescopes for astrophotographers and discerning observers.
The triplet consists of an OHARA FPL 53 lens and two Schott elements. The combination shows no visible chromatic aberration and thus offers particularly high contrast.
Linear-Power Focus System
The 3″ Linear Power offers all the focusing capabilities you need for astrophotography. Its size allows full-frame camera sensors to be perfectly exposed. Additional adapters can reduce this large aperture to 2″ or 1.25″ depending on your preference.
This new Linear-Power focusing system supports the heaviest accessories. The tube, guided by four roller bearings, slides along a stainless steel rail. This makes focusing as comfortable as with a Crayford system, but the acceptable load is much greater. Practical for astrophotography: The focuser can be rotated, so you can easily find the right camera orientation for your favorite subject.
With a 1:11 reduction you will still be able to smoothly achieve precise focusing for both the camera and the eyepiece.
