The AP 60/360 lens is an exceptional travel telescope!
Thanks to its adjustable dew cap, the telescope has a transportation length of only 23 centimetres. This means it can fit in almost all hand luggage. Mount the apochromat on a tripod or an astronomical camera mount, such as the Skywatcher’s Star Adventurer. And you have an extremely lightweight and compact astrophotography system!
Some of the apochromat's features:
- Clear, high-contrast images with no colour errors. These are almost completely corrected by the FPL53 (Ohara, Japan) and the lanthanum partner glass.
- 2″ toothed focuser with ball bearings and reduction: Even heavy equipment, such as CCD cameras, can be precisely focused and securely held!
- M54x0.75 threaded connector for screw-on astrophotography adaptations.
- Practical L-bracket with multi-functional plate and tripod thread (1/4″). This means the apochromat fits on all tripods and, with optional prism rails, on astronomical mounts.
- Always balanced, even when holding heavy equipment – you can simply offset the mount by up to 180°. So the apochromat can even balance out a large camera.
This apochromat provides all sorts of possibilities for astrophotography, landscape or wildlife photography. The telescope provides an alternative to expensive apochromatic telephoto lenses. However, a corrector is required. Links to suitable correctors can be found in the accessories section
The compact apochromat is also well suited to observation – the image is brighter and higher in contrast than with most spotting scopes and the usable field is larger. A 10-fold magnification range for an optimum overview and up to 15-fold for detail observations is available to you.
Due to the generous working distance of 135mm from the 2” slot, you always require a zenith mirror or an Amici prism for observations.
