The G3M290C is a camera equipped with a Sony IMX290 color sensor, which is best suited for photographing the moon and planets and as a guide camera. The camera’s 2.9µm pixels are also suitable for planetary photography with shorter focal length telescopes. At full resolution, the camera produces shooting speeds of up to 124 fps, and in Region of Interest (ROI) mode it is significantly faster when the camera is reading a smaller area of the sensor. In order to maximize the recording speed, it is advisable to save to the computer directly to the SSD drive.
