ZWO EAFN – High Precision Micrometer Automatic Electronic Focuser

The ZWO EAFN is the latest evolution in electronic focusing for astrophotography, designed to offer micrometric control, advanced software integration and extensive compatibility , all in a compact and reliable design. This device allows for fully automated focusing , both locally and remotely, integrating seamlessly with the most modern astronomical imaging software.

Precise and intelligent autofocus

Thanks to the support for ASCOM and INDI protocols , and the perfect integration with ZWO ASIAIR devices and ZWO Air line cameras, the EAFN focuser can be controlled manually or automated through sophisticated autofocus algorithms. These software analyze the shape and sharpness of the stars in the images acquired by the camera, adjusting the focus in real time with micrometric precision.

Automated autofocus functions

The system can be programmed to automatically refocus following events that typically compromise focus: temperature changes, meridian rotations, filter changes or after a certain period of time. These functions can be activated with a few clicks, eliminating the need for continuous manual intervention during the night.

Universal compatibility and easy installation

The ZWO EAFN maintains the same mounting scheme as the popular EAF, making the bracket compatible with a wide range of Crayford, rack and pinion focusers, and linear bearing focusers. The kit includes 4 flexible joints (4-4, 4-5, 4-6, 4-7mm) to ensure compatibility with popular telescopes from Sky-Watcher, SharpStar, William Optics, etc.

Versatile and manual control

The device features physical focus adjustment buttons directly on the body, as well as a 3.5mm jack port compatible with the ZWO EAF hand controller (sold separately), thus also offering a control option without software or PC.
