ZWO PE70 is a dedicated pier extension designed to extend the ZWO AM5 assembly. This product is especially recommended for astrophotography sets where, due to the length of the optical tube or the position of the counterweight arm, there is a risk of collision between the AM5 mount and the tripod.
The PE70 extension is made of a single block of aviation aluminum alloy, thanks to which it is characterized by a load capacity of up to 50 kilograms, and thanks to the recessed structure, the extension is extremely light at the same time. PE70 extensions can be combined with each other, which makes it easy to modify the mounting height to meet current needs (ZWO recommends using at least two PE70 segments).
*Attention! The PE70 extension cannot be combined with the PE160 extension*
