This eyepiece family is the shorter FL versions of the existing SWA70 2″ eyepieces. 5 lens elements, fully multi-coated lenses and blackened lens edges for sharp, high contrast views.
All have 70 degree FOV, that is only slightly smaller than the 82 degree “Ultry Wide Field” standard. 10mm, 13mm, and 16mm eye relief respectively, they are more convenient than the Plössl eyepieces. Fold-down rubber eyecups, and safety undercut to reduce the possibility of the eyepiece slipping out of the focuser.
The SWA 70 degree 1.25″ eyepieces with focal lengths of 10mm, 15mm and 20mm from Lacerta are part of the same family as the larger SWA 70 degree 2″ eyepieces from Sky-Watcher . They have a 5-lens design, fully multi-coated on all surfaces, with their edges being blackened to achieve high contrast and a well-defined field of view. The 70 degree field of view, combined with their large eye relief (10mm for the SWA 10mm eyepiece, 13mm for the SWA 15mm eyepiece, 16mm for the SWA 20mm eyepiece) and the bendable rubber cups make them extremely comfortable to use, more comfortable than similarly priced Plossl eyepieces. The field of view is well corrected in telescopes with focal ratios greater than f/7.
