ZWO EAF-PRO – High Precision Wireless Electronic Autofocuser
The ZWO EAF-PRO represents the definitive solution for focusing automation in astrophotography, combining power, precision and versatility in a compact and robust device. Compared to the standard EAF version, the PRO model integrates two key features: an internal 2500 mAh lithium battery and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity , for completely wireless operation , without the need for external power sources or data cables.
Designed for advanced astrophotography
During long night shooting sessions, temperature changes, filter changes and meridian flips can alter the focus point. The ZWO EAF-PRO , when used in combination with devices such as ZWO ASIAIR , ASIStudio or ASCOM/INDI compatible software , allows automatic focus adjustment based on predefined events: for each exposure, by time interval, by filter change or temperature (sensor sold separately).
Completely autonomous
Thanks to the integrated battery and Bluetooth module, the EAF-PRO can operate for a whole week (tested in the laboratory with 2 focusing/hour for 8 hours per night), without cables. This configuration simplifies wiring, reduces the risk of entanglement and improves the aesthetics and mobility of the instrumentation.
High performance for any configuration
The high-resolution stepper motor with a 1:128 reduction ratio and 7.5° pitch offers micrometer-level precision , essential for long-focal length optical systems and large-scale imaging. It can handle loads of up to 5 kg , perfect for complex optical trains with filter wheels, OAGs, cooled chambers and multiple filters.
Universal mechanical compatibility
The kit includes 4 flexible joints (4–4, 4–5, 4–6, 4–7 mm) , spacers , M4/M5 screw , Allen keys , standard mounting bracket , 2 m USB-C cable , and quick start guide. Compatible with most popular Crayford, rack and pinion focusers, and linear bearing focusers from brands such as Sky-Watcher , William Optics , SharpStar , Aperture , and more.
