Askar 60F – 60mm Flat Field Quadruplet Apochromatic Telescope for Full Frame Astrophotography

The Askar 60F is a compact, high-end apochromatic refractor telescope designed for those who want perfectly corrected images on full-frame sensors , without the need for additional accessories. Designed to offer impeccable optical quality , the 60F incorporates an air-spaced APO quadruplet design with ED (low dispersion ) glass for advanced color correction and a perfectly flat field.

With a focal length of 408 mm and a 60 mm aperture (f/6.8), this instrument is ideal for wide-angle astrophotography of extended objects such as nebulae, open clusters, and starscapes. The 44 mm image circle fully supports the full-frame sensors of modern astronomy cameras and DSLRs.

Thanks to the integrated field flattener , there’s no need for an external flattener or backfocus calculations: just connect your camera, focus, and you’re ready to shoot. This makes the Askar 60F one of the simplest instruments to use yet delivers observatory-quality results.

The Askar 60F has a lens design with three front lenses in the objective and a rear correction lens. An ED glass in the objective effectively reduces chromatic aberrations. The Askar 60F is corrected for 44 mm full-frame cameras.

Thanks to the integrated correction lens (field flattener), the Askar 60F does not require an additional flattener or complex back focus calculations. Simply connect your camera, adjust the focus and you are ready to take pictures. This makes astrophotography easier and more fun!

The Askar 60F is compact and easy to transport, no matter where your journey of discovery takes you. It is designed for both visual observations and photography. It comes with a photographic adaptor with integrated 2-inch filter thread and has M48×0.75 and M54×0.75 thread connections, making it compatible with DSLRs and astronomical cameras for quick connection and immediate shooting.

The Askar 60F features a retractable dew shield that reduces transport length and improves portability. The inside of the tube is lined with matt felt to better eliminate stray light, while the outside features an elegant blue and white colour scheme, high-quality CNC machining and paint finish.

The two finder shoes and carrying handles offer many options for attaching accessories.

The Vixen-standard prism rail is 230 millimetres long and can be screwed into place using standard 1/4″ and 3/8″ photo threads.

As for the focuser, the Askar 60F is equipped with an R&P focuser with reduction gear and a 2.4-inch diameter, which allows for fine adjustment at a ratio of 1:10. The fine adjustment knob has a non-slip cover and there is a 360° rotator on the rear for precise angle adjustment.
