Askar presents a new refractor, currently the smallest of the SQA Petzval series, the SQA85 mm; it is an instrument suitable for astrophotography.
Thanks to the air-spaced quintuplet, it provides a flat field up to 44mm diagonal without the addition of additional flatteners/reducers, focal length equal to 408mm F/4.8
This new and huge APO guarantees a chromatic correction at the highest levels thanks to a precise and maniacal construction by Sharpstar; the image is not affected by any chromatic aberration and remains very clear and well contrasted.

Improved mechanics

In addition to the improved optics, the SQA85 also offers improved mechanics that leave nothing to chance, so that the performance of the apochromat can be fully exploited even in the astrophotography field.
FPL53 air-spaced apochromatic quintuplet with multi-coating on each optical surface, this makes the optical quality very good and no chromatic aberration even at maximum magnification.
The objective of this apochromat is composed of an air-spaced triplet also composed of elements supplied by the famous Ohara (Made in Japan), in fact the central element is composed of ED Ohara SuperAPO-FPL53 glass.
The ultra-modernized optical design allows for precise optical correction across the entire wavelength range.

ASKAR 3″ Rack&Pinion Focuser with Integrated Rotator
This refractor uses a brand new 3″ ASKAR focuser, with an integrated 360° rotatable rotator to always keep the camera in the correct position. Thanks to the Rack&Pinion system, the focuser can support very heavy loads without any torsion problems.
The 1:10 gear reduction mechanism offers precise focusing, ideal for astrophotography.
